Fundraising

GFWC-Women's Civic League of Cheyenne's Christmas House

It is where a private residence with an interesting venue is transformed into a winter wonderland. One hundred percent of the proceeds go back to Laramie County in a variety of ways from service projects, educational scholarships, and grants offered by our Community Grant Committee. The club earns more than $100k from this fundraiser.

GFWC-Laramie Women's Club

The annual fundraiser for the women's club is a public Bunco party. The party consists of an admittance fee which includes appetizers, wine, and door prizes. The proceeds are used to support and supply the local food bank for the community.

An agreement with Texas Roadhouse allows the club to promote the sale of pre-planned meals. The set menu allows for easy advertisement and event planning. Tickets are sold to community members for a nominal price. This enhances the brand of the club in the community, is a fundraiser for projects and aids in recruiting new members to the club.

GFWC-Women's Club of Sweetwater County

The annual fundraiser for this club is their Holiday House. They select a private home, decorate it, have raffle items for sale as well as crafts and baked goods. This advertising puts the club's brand out in the community and members have an opportunity to chat with potential new members during the sale.

A flapjack fundraiser at a local Applebee's restaurant helps add to the club's coffers and aids in getting the club brand out in the community. The members serve, clear tables, collect tickets and money at the door.

This club raised money for a bench near the Green River Columbarium for veterans through a booth at the local farmer's market. They collaborated with a local nursery for donations for plants and then raffled off the plants each week for three weeks. Also, they purchased wildflower seeds, repackaged them, and gave them away with a flier about native plants. A raffle was held for a summer cooler full of BBQ items at the end of the summer. This ongoing event helped brand the club for recruiting as well as raising money for a veteran's project.
