"Powers in Numbers"
In September 2024, the state federation held its Fall Workshop in the second largest community in Wyoming. The objective of this event was several, such as, increasing the brand awareness of the local club and increase membership. The morning session was open to the public and featured speakers prevalent to the organizations the state and local clubs support, such as the Unaccompanied Student Initiative. The USI not only has the program in Cheyenne but has grown into two other communities. Several years ago, the USI was Wyoming's CIP which received an award at the GF WC level. The workshop was held at the regional airport's large meeting room overlooking the runway. The local club members and state president sought sponsorships for the event's expenses receiving two, which were an anonymous donation of $500 that covered the venue, and the second being from the Oil Mountain Energy that covered all the catering costs for the morning event and luncheon. Advertisement was achieved through placing posters at the community quilt shops, local college campus, and local business network. The local club solicited donations for the basket silent auction drawings, which enabled them to get their name out in front of local businesses The state president engaged two sisters who work as 'handy' girls for a local oil and gas company to do the catering for the workshop. They were selected to align with the State Theme of Women and Children. It was the first time these sisters had done any catering and did an outstanding job of it. They provided coffec and cake pops at a cost of $10 pp for the morning session that was open to the public. They are working hard to put themselves through college without having to take out loans. One is currently in college with the other a senior in high school. Funds were raised with the many silent auction items available. Also due to the result of the event, the local club gained an additional member.

The Women's Club of Sweetwater County chose to seek additional exposure in their county by joining the Chamber of Commerce in the two communities of Green River and Rock Springs. Being that this had never been done previously by the club, the Board decided that joining the chambers was a viable use of club funds. This recommendation was then taken before the membership who in turn then voted favorably on the utilization of club funds for membership in the two communities' Chamber of Commerce. Both Chambers have lighted outside boards that the club can utilize in posting information on events and activities the club is hosting. The Chambers also have a newsletter that is sent to its members updating them on current and upcoming events and activities which is beneficial to the club in getting its information out to the public. In doing this, the club is anticipating additional interest in the club with the potential of growing its membership. This endeavor was accomplished in November 2024. Three members were involved in delivering the checks—1 volunteer hour. Expenditures were $145 for a year's membership in the Green River Chamber of Commerce and $150 for a year's membership in the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce. An investment of $295.
