GFWC Wyoming has two scholarships available to high school seniors or returning college students and one for a non-traditional student over the age of 18 years of age returning to an accredited Wyoming University, College, Trade or Vocational School. Mary N. Brooks Scholarship
The Mary N. Brooks Scholarship started out as a loan fund in 1909. The state president at the time was Mary N. Brooks, wife of then governor, Bryan B. Brooks. It is now a scholarship fund awarded annually to a high school senior or returning college student with special consideration being given to a child or grandchild of a GFWC Wyoming Clubwoman.

In 1978 Ruth Clare Yonkee, GFWC Wyoming State President, donated the $1,300 allowed for her travel and presidential expenses to establish the Ruth Clare Yonkee District Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is given to a high school senior or returning student. It should be noted that this scholarship rotates between GFWC Wyoming districts. Check the annual application form to confirm your eligibility. In 2025 the scholarship is assigned to the West district.

The Paulena Hays Scholarship is our newest scholarship and was funded by an endowment from her estate. This scholarship is awarded to a non-traditional student who is returning to school at any Wyoming university, college, trade, or vocational school.

The Mary Godat Bellamy Scholarship will benefit a non-traditional Albany County, Wyoming resident who is currently attending or will be attending a Wyoming University, College, or a licensed and accredited technical, vocational or trade school during the 2024-2025 academic year.
